Non-Executive Director Announcement

On behalf of the Board of Directors and everyone at James Hardie, we would like to express our sadness at the recent passing of Mr James Osborne, who was appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director of James Hardie in March 2009.

James was an experienced company director with a strong legal background and a considerable knowledge of international business operations in North America and Europe.

In tribute to Mr Osborne’s accomplishments, James Hardie Chairman, Mr Michael Hammes honored his memory with a statement on behalf of the Company, “James made a valuable contribution to the success of James Hardie for over close to a decade. His insights, candor and quick wit will be missed by all of us on the Board.

“On behalf of the Board and everyone at James Hardie, we would like to express our condolences to his family and friends at this very sad time,” Mr Hammes added.
