FY2014 Dividends

James Hardie announced on 22 May 2014 an ordinary dividend of US32.0 cents per share ("FY2014 second half dividend") and a special dividend of US20.0 cents ("FY2014 special dividend"). The dividends are payable in Australian currency on 8 August 2014 to security holders registered at the 12 June 2014 record date. 

James Hardie announced on 28 February 2014 a special dividend of US28.0 cents per share ("125-year anniversary special dividend") payable in Australian currency on 30 May 2014 to security holders registered at the 21 March 2014 record date.

On 14 November 2013, James Hardie announced an ordinary dividend of US8.0 cents per share ("FY2014 first half dividend") payable in Australian currency on 28 March 2014 to security holders registered at the 19 December 2013 record date.

The FY2014 first half dividend of US8.0 cents per security, converts to a dividend payment of 9.0448 Australian cents. The FY2014 second half dividend of US32.0 cents per security and the FY2014 special dividend of US20.0 cents per security convert to a combined dividend payment of 55.4424 Australian cents. The 125 year anniversary special dividend converts to 30.8756 Australian cents.

The FY2014 dividends referred to above were paid in Australian dollars to all securityholders except ADR holders or holders in the US, New Zealand or Great Britain who elected to receive payment in their local currency.

FY2013 Ordinary and Special Dividends

James Hardie's interim ordinary dividend of US 13 cents per security (FY13 ordinary dividend) and the special dividend of 24 US cents per security, both announced on 23 May 2013 convert to a combined payment of 39.9452 Australian cents. The dividend was paid in Australian currency on 26 July 2013 to securityholders registered at the 28 June 2013 record date.

The FY13 ordinary and special dividend were paid free of Irish 20% withholding tax to securityholders resident in a country, including Australia and New Zealand, that has a double tax treaty with Ireland.  It was not franked and there was no dividend reinvestment plan in place for the dividend.

The ordinary dividend was paid in Australian dollars to all securityholders except ADR holders or holders in the US, New Zealand or Great Britain who requested payment by direct debit in their local currency. Dividends were paid by direct credit to Australian resident security holders.
